Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy will be aware, the provision of health services in County Kildare is, in the first instance, the responsibility if the South Western Area Health Board acting under the aegis of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him as a matter of urgency.
380 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals her Department has to improve facilities and conditions for Alzheimer patients in Alzheimer units in hospitals within the South West Area Health Board region; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [23497/04]

My Department has written to the chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and asked him to supply me with the relevant details, which will be forwarded to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
