O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a copy of the Prospectus study on the pig industry, published in 2000, will be made available, which she referred to in page 2, paragraph 4, of her speech to the House on 5 October 2004; the date on which this study was published; and if this study was available in the Oireachtas Library and in the public domain. The Prospectus report was published in December 2000 and was made available in January 2001 to those who commissioned it. Shortly thereafter, the report was given to a wide range of interested parties, in particular, organisations representing pig producers and pig processors. A copy of the report has been forwarded to the Deputy.
