Responsibility for the provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is, in the first instance, a matter for the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board to reply to the Deputy directly on the issue raised.

Amharc ar fhreagraThe provision of hospital services at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I understand that the hospital outlined the position to the Deputy in its letter of 20 August 2004. The hospital has advised that should the family have any matters they wish to clarify or query they should not hesitate to contact the hospital directly.
