Amharc ar fhreagraThe property management section of the Office of Public Works, which acts on behalf of my Department in site acquisitions generally, is in the process of acquiring a site for the provision of a school to serve the area in question. Due to the commercial sensitivities of site acquisitions, it is not proposed at this stage to provide details of the site being acquired. However, this information will be placed on my Department's website when the relevant acquisition has been completed.
My Department's officials are reviewing all projects which were not authorised to proceed to construction as part of the 2004 school building programme, including the project in question, with a view to including them as part of a multi-annual school building programme from 2005. I expect to make further announcements in this regard before the end of the year.
