Ceisteanna (108)

Paul Connaughton

Ceist:

105 Mr. Connaughton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the reason school transport charges have risen so steeply in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Galway; if her attention has been drawn to the huge increase in payment being sought for transport and that a family on social welfare cannot afford such payment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The provision of transport for people with disabilities is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, a copy of the Deputy's question has been forwarded to the chief executive officer, Western Health Board, with a request that she examine the case and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

Question No. 106 answered with QuestionNo. 92.
