181 Mr. Stanton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the need to upgrade the health centre in Youghal, County Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26630/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe provision of health centres to meet the needs of local communities and the maintenance and upgrading of such centres within its functional area is a matter for the relevant health board or the Eastern Regional Health Authority. In the case of Youghal, County Cork, this responsibility rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine this issue and reply direct to the Deputy.
