245 Mr. Wall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of beds not in use in hospitals in the South Western Area Health Board area; the plans she has in addressing such bed closures; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27177/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraResponsibility for the provision of hospital services in the South Western Area Health Board rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
