36 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will review the current funding for architectural protection grants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22326/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe scheme of architectural protection grants is administered by local authorities and is available to owners of protected structures. The scheme is resourced by my Department: the relevant overall provision for 2003 was €2.888 million and for 2004 it has been increased to €4.4 million, an improvement of some 52% over the 2003 provision. Funding for this scheme will be kept under review.
