305 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if her attention has been drawn to the report on the early retirement scheme for farmers compiled by the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Agriculture and Food; her views on this report; if she intends to implement it; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I received the report of the Oireachtas joint committee formally on 7 April. I have asked my officials to consider the recommendations in the report, having regard to the terms and conditions of the early retirement scheme and the European Commission regulations under which the current and previous schemes were introduced.
