254 Ms McManus asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of tenders to participate in the design teams for the new breast screening centres in Cork and Galway, received as of 12 June 2005; the expected duration for the short-listing of applicants for interview; and if she will make a statement on the matter. BreastCheck has indicated it received 50 requests to participate in the procurement process, which will be carried out in accordance with EU procurement procedures using the restricted procedure. BreastCheck anticipates that the short-listing, interviews and fee negotiations will be completed by the end of July 2005.
