483 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made on the application by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry to remain in the State on the basis of parentage of an Irish-born child; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20828/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned made an application for permission to remain in the State on the basis of his parentage of an Irish-born child under the revised arrangements announced by me on 15 January 2005. I understand that officials of my Department have written to the person concerned in relation to his application and a reply is awaited. Processing of the application from the person concerned will be completed following receipt of the requested information.
