106 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Transport if separate smoking facilities are provided for US army personnel who travel through Shannon Airport; and if additional cost to the State has arisen in providing such facilities. [35080/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe management and operation of Shannon Airport, including compliance with the Public Health (Tobacco)(Amendment) Act 2004, is a day-to-day matter for Dublin Airport Authority, DAA, and I have no function in relation to the matter. However, the DAA informed me that it has provided an external smoking area for use by any passengers using Shannon Airport who wish to smoke. The DAA further informs me that separate smoking facilities are not provided specifically for US military personnel.
