390 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism if Kilkenny Borough Council will be allowed to proceed to tender relative to its plans for a new swimming pool complex for the city; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14775/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraLast month Kilkenny County Council submitted contract documents to my Department in respect of a replacement swimming pool in Kilkenny. These documents are currently being examined by the Department and its technical advisers, the Office of Public Works. I expect to be in a position shortly to approve of the contract documents which will enable the county council to invite tenders for the work proposed.
