59 Deputy Fergus O’Dowd asked the Minister for Transport the details of the retirement package for the former chief executive of Aer Lingus; if Government members on the board of Aer Lingus were consulted on this matter; if he was consulted on this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe retirement package for the former chief executive of Aer Lingus Group plc is a matter for the board of the company. I have no role in such matters. The mandate of the State's directors on the Board is to seek to ensure that decisions of the company that have significant implications for wider Government, aviation or regional development policies are considered at board level.
