410 Deputy Simon Coveney asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the location where the money raised by the National Lottery will be spent in 2009; the amount which has been given to each county; the portion of same which is being spent in the area of sport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The distribution of the proceeds of the National Lottery is a matter for the Minister for Finance. The elements of the Department's Vote which are part-funded by these proceeds are as follows:

Subhead C.1: Grants for sporting bodies and for the provision of sports and recreational facilities under the Sports Capital Programme;

Subhead C.3: Grant-in-Aid provided to the Irish Sports Council in respect of general assistance to sports organisations and expenditure in relation to sports activities; and

Subhead D.7: Grant-in-Aid provided to the Arts Council in respect of arts activities. Details of Revised Estimates allocations for 2009 in respect of these subheads are as set out in tabular form.
