180 Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will provide the data available to him in relation to rents charged under the rental accommodation scheme by each local authority with a breakdown by bedroom number and by housing type. [8549/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraRental Accommodation Scheme (RAS) tenants are charged rents based on a housing authority's differential rent scheme and the rent payable is calculated mainly by reference to household income. The differential rent schemes vary from authority to authority. The making and amending of rent schemes for social housing are the responsibility of local authorities as an integral part of their housing management functions.
