412 Deputy Paul Connaughton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills if the site purchase for a school (details supplied) in County Galway is completed; when the school is likely to go to tender; the expected completion date; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has been involved in discussions with Galway County Council in relation to this matter. I am advised that the Local Authority is actively engaged in negotiating on a suitable site, however due to the commercial sensitivities pertaining to the acquisition of school sites generally, it is not possible for me to comment further at this time.
