436 Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Health further to the closure of St. Michael’s Unit at Clonmel and the transferral of patients form the north Tipperary area to Ennis General Hospital, County Clare, if his attention has been drawn to the delays in admitting mental health patients from north Tipperary to Ennis General Hospital; if there are a specific amount of beds set aside for patients for the north Tipperary area; his views that this allocation is sufficient; the way beds in the Ennis unit are being utilised; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
