417 Deputy Pat Breen asked the Minister for Social Protection when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will receive a decision on their appeal in respect of their application for jobseeker’s allowance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20152/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am advised by the Social Welfare Appeals Office that an Appeals Officer, having fully considered all the evidence, including that adduced at oral hearing, has disallowed the appeal of the person concerned. The person concerned has been notified of the decision.
The Social Welfare Appeals Office functions independently of the Minister for Social Protection and of the Department and is responsible for determining appeals against decisions on social welfare entitlements.
