141 Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance if he will deal with the following matter regarding mortgage interest relief in respect of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22756/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy will be aware, under the Relationship Frameworks, the Board of the Bank referred to in the question is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the bank and I have no role in this matter. The Bank referred to in the question has informed me that it has worked in conjunction with Revenue Commissioners in relation to the application of the mortgage interest relief increase and confirmed that the increase has now been implemented, effective from customers' next mortgage repayment date. The total 2012 mortgage interest relief increase will be applied on a pro-rata basis for the remaining months of the year.
