403 Deputy Patrick O’Donovan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the position regarding an application for sugar beet compensation in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; when payment will be granted; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An official of my Department has been in direct contact with the person named concerning the outstanding payment in respect of an element of the compensation due on foot of the Sugar Reform package. It is expected that the payment in question will issue in the coming weeks, directly to the bank account of the person named.
