385 Deputy Patrick O’Donovan asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding an application for a domiciliary care allowance in respect of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [25274/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for domiciliary care allowance was received from the person concerned on 21st March 2012. Domiciliary care allowance is not payable for any period during which a child is resident in an institution. The child concerned is presently in hospital. Accordingly, the person concerned has been informed to notify the Department when her child returns home and the application will be further examined at that stage.
