110 Deputy Joan Collins asked the Minister for Social Protection her plans for the community welfare officers currently based in a health centre (details supplied); if they will be moved and to which location. [26018/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThere are two Department of Social Protection staff based in Cashel Road Health Centre, providing services previously provided by Community Welfare Officers. The Health Centre is part of the Health Service Executive's network of offices and the HSE has indicated that it intends to vacate those premises. A time scale for this process has not been agreed with the Department. Alternative accommodation for the Department's staff will be identified as part of the process. In the meantime, the Department's staff will continue to provide service from that location, as heretofore.
