800 Deputy Tom Hayes asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs when a decision will issue on the accreditation for the Helping Hand Group who assist persons in their efforts to adopt from Vietnam or other areas.; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26556/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Adoption Authority of Ireland is an independent statutory body established under the Adoption Act 2010. The Authority has responsibility for the operational implementation of enacted legislation and Government policy. As the issue of accreditation of bodies is solely a matter for the Adoption Authority, I have forwarded the request to the Authority for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
