998 Deputy Finian McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the position regarding his Department’s investigation into Basketball Ireland and capital sports grants. [26390/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Department takes seriously any instances of non-compliance with the terms and conditions of the Sports Capital Programme. The Internal Audit Unit of the Department has concluded a report into this matter. Departmental officials have met with officials from Basketball Ireland to discuss the findings of the report. The Department is now considering what actions to take on foot of the report. As soon as these deliberations have been concluded, the Department will write to Basketball Ireland informing them of the outcome of these deliberations.
