88 Deputy James Bannon asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding a carer’s allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Longford; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27625/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person in question was advised that the care recipient does not satisfy the medical criteria for receipt of carer's allowance based on the evidence submitted with the application form. Additional medical evidence was provided in support of the case in April 2012. This information was forwarded to the medical assessor for further consideration.
On completion of the necessary investigations a decision will be made and the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
