170 Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he will provide in tabular format details of all Government expenditure related to the treaty referendum held on 31 May 2012, including the Referendum Commission’s budget, the moneys spent by the Government on its own public information campaign and the amount spent on polling companies and any additional items. A total of €4.2 million was allocated by the Government for the Referendum on the Stability Treaty. €2.2 million was allocated to the Referendum Commission and €2 million to the Government's information campaign. Until all bills and invoices have been issued and settled, it will not be possible to give a final figure. However, the breakdown of costs associated with the Government's information campaign as currently stands is as follows:
