Mary Lou McDonald

Ceist:

126 Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will provide a list of the State agencies in which the Government has not made an appointment to a State body when a vacancy has arisen in view of the fact that it is clearly necessary to consider changes in the function or structure of the Board. Citizens Information Board

There are currently two vacancies on the board. These board positions are not being held vacant for any reason. These vacancies arose recently and will be filled in due course in accordance with normal procedure.

Pensions Board

There are currently two vacancies on the Pensions Board. The Pensions Board is subject to a critical review in accordance with the Public Service Reform Plan to examine the amalgamation of the regulatory function of the Pensions Board with the Financial Regulator.
