67 Deputy Olivia Mitchell asked the Minister for Social Protection the date on which she intends to publish a consultation document on the introduction of a scheme of statutory sick pay; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [28760/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraI hosted a consultative seminar on the feasibility and implications of introducing a scheme of statutory sick pay in February 2012. This seminar was attended by a broad range of key stakeholders and afforded an opportunity to discuss the complex issues involved. The report of that seminar will be published on the Department's website before the end of next week and will provide the basis for further consultations with key stakeholders.
