101 Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will advise if any progress has been made by his Department in response to proposals for the realignment of primary school at a location (details supplied) in County Kildare; if any capital commitment will be required in respect of realignment; if a timescale for the general process has been agreed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe building project for the first named school referred to by the Deputy has been included in the 5 year construction programme and is scheduled to commence construction in 2015/16. In this regard, the process of appointing a Design Team is currently underway.
With regard to the second named school, a building project comprising of 26 classrooms, Special Needs Unit and ancillary accommodation has been completed and was handed over to the school in August 2011.
