799. Deputy Jack Wall asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding a domiciliary care allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [38600/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for domiciliary care allowance was received from the person in question on the 2nd August 2012. This application has been forwarded to one of the Department’s Medical Assessors for their medical opinion. Upon receipt of this opinion, a decision will issue to the customer.
It can currently take up to 8 weeks to process a DCA application.
