299. Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if works due to be completed by the end of August at a Garda Station (details supplied) in County Cork have been finalised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40529/12]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe programme of replacement and refurbishment of Garda accommodation around the country is based on agreed priorities established by An Garda Síochána. The programme is advanced by the Garda authorities working in close co-operation with the Office of Public Works, which has responsibility for the provision and maintenance of Garda accommodation. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that current maintenance works at the station referred to by the Deputy are expected to be completed before the end of September.
