Amharc ar fhreagraA registered elector’s citizenship determines the polls at which he or she is entitled to vote. EU citizens (denoted by ‘E’ on registers) may vote at European Parliament and local elections. An EU citizen living in Ireland and wishing to register as a European elector must meet age and residency requirements and, in addition, complete a statutory declaration in accordance with section 6 of the European Parliament Elections Act 1997.
