31. Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he has discussed the Irish Farmers' Association/dairy industry proposals for a tax relieved loan scheme to help the development of the dairy industry here with the Department of Finance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have discussed the proposal for a tax relieved loan scheme with the Irish Farmers Association and other interests. The proposal was also discussed by my officials with the Department of Finance, who have responsibility for tax policy.
