321. Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding a Student Universal Support Ireland application in respect of a person (details supplied); when first payment will be received; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8411/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraOfficials in my Department have confirmed with Student Universal Support Ireland that the student referred to by the Deputy is a postgraduate student and he has been awarded a fee grant in accordance with the terms and conditions of the student grant scheme. An award letter issued to the student in this regard on 6th February 2013. Fee grants are paid directly to institutions on students' behalf with payment being made when institutions invoice the grant awarding authority.
