448. Deputy John O'Mahony asked the Minister for Social Protection when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a decision on their application for carer's allowance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8980/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraI confirm that the Department received an application for carer’s allowance from the person in question on the 2nd May 2012. A decision was made on the 6th February 2013 awarding the allowance. All arrears due issued by cheque on that date and the first weekly payment issued to the designated post office on the 7th February 2013.
