586. Deputy Shane Ross asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the costs involved in transferring both gardaí and their equipment radios, uniforms and so on, currently stationed at Stepaside Garda Station to surrounding Garda stations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8779/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy is aware, Stepaside Station is currently fully operational and I am informed by the Garda authorities that at this stage it is not possible to provide an accurate estimate of the costs that will be associated with transferring the relevant Garda personnel and equipment to other locations. However, the Garda authorities have also indicated that the costs involved are not expected to be significant.
