Broughan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he received a submission from an organisation (details supplied) dated 7 February 2013 in relation to the penalty points system and Section 63 of the 2010 Road Traffic Act; and his views on the submission. The operation of section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 2002, as amended by section 63 of the Road Traffic Act 2010, is entirely a matter for the Courts Service and my colleague Minister Alan Shatter T.D., Minister for Justice and Equality.
