377. Deputy Marcella Corcoran Kennedy asked the Minister for Justice and Equality when a Garda vetting application will be processed in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11183/13]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Garda authorities that two vetting applications on behalf of the person concerned were received by the Garda Central Vetting Unit (GCVU) on 12 December 2012 and 30 January 2013. The applications are currently being processed. It is anticipated that a response to the first application received by the GCVU will issue to the registered organisation involved next week and a response to the second application in the coming weeks.
