Deputy Seán Kyne asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he will consider partnership arrangements with Eircom and other telecommunications companies which are undertaking upgrade works to the fixed line fibre cable broadband network in that his Department would finance the extension of the network in areas which are in relatively close proximity to the locations of the planned upgrades.
