363. Deputy Colm Keaveney asked the Minister for Justice and Equality when a person (details supplied) in County Galway may expect the Garda vetting process to be completed in order that he or she may engage in an employment scheme dependent on the outcome of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that a vetting application on behalf of the individual referred to by the Deputy was received by the Garda Central Vetting Unit (GCVU). The application was processed and returned to the registered organisation involved on 12 June 2013.
