I have no direct role in this matter. However, I understand that in 2014 a particular focus for Fáilte Ireland is to explore the development of a tourism proposition of scale and singularity for the South and East, similar to the Wild Atlantic Way, primarily based on the abundance of cultural and heritage assets in the area - much of which has benefitted from significant capital investment by Fáilte Ireland in recent years.

As these are matters for the board and management of Fáilte Ireland and are not subject to my approval, I have asked the agency to reply directly to you on this matter.  Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
