Ceisteanna (237)

Dessie Ellis

Ceist:

237. Deputy Dessie Ellis asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he is satisfied that certificate of professional competence, CPC, courses for professional drivers are relevant or useful to those taking them; and his plans to reform the model in operation, possibly by adding an on-the-road element to the course curriculum. The operation of the Certificate of Professional Competence regime is a matter for the Road Safety Authority.  I have therefore forwarded the question to the Authority for direct reply.  I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
