Under the Health Act 2007 the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) charges prescribed fees in respect of the registration or renewal of registration of designated centres including nursing homes for older people and residential services for children and adults with disabilities. Periodic assessments or inspections carried out by HIQA of designated centres do not incur separate charges. The Health Act 2007 does not currently provide for any fees to be charged by HIQA for the assessment of a public hospital against HIQA standards.

Question No. 932 withdrawn.
