541. Deputy Ann Phelan asked the Minister for Health the current status of the review of the fair deal scheme; if it will be debated in Dáil Éireann; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24569/14]

Work on the Review is on-going. It is expected that the Review will be completed in the coming months and the Report will then be made publicly available.

As the Scheme is statutory based, the implementation of any recommendations arising from the review may require amendments to the Nursing Homes Support Scheme Act, 2009.
