387. Deputy Shane Ross asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the number of burglaries in the Stepaside, County Dublin area since the closure of the Garda station; the number of prosecutions following these burglaries; and the number of convictions. [27949/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy may be aware, the Garda Síochána Act 2005 makes provision for the compilation and publication of crime statistics by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), as the national statistical agency, and the CSO has established a dedicated unit for this purpose. I have requested the CSO to provide relevant available statistics directly to the Deputy.
