491. Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding a new secondary school in Carrigtwohill, County Cork; if a site has been identified; when the building will begin; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [38077/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department, working in conjunction with Cork County Council, has identified a suitable site for the new post primary school referred to by the Deputy. I can confirm that the acquisition of the site is being progressed, however due to the commercially sensitive nature of acquisitions generally I am not in a position to give further details at this time.
Once the acquisition of the site is finalised, a design team for the project will be appointed.
