126. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the reason three uniformed gardaí were present at Glin hare coursing meeting on 3 and 4 October 2014; their purpose at the event; and if the coursing club will be covering the costs of the Garda presence. [39513/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy will appreciate, the Garda Commissioner is responsible for the distribution of all resources, including personnel, among the Garda Regions, Divisions and Districts. Garda management keep this distribution under continuing review in the context of crime trends and policing priorities so as to ensure that the best possible use is made of these resources.
I have asked the Commissioner for information on the specific issue referred to by the Deputy, and when it is to hand, I will write directly to the Deputy.
