I am informed by the Garda authorities that a total of €17.226m (including VAT) was paid to Go Safe in 2014 in respect of the operation of the safety camera network. I would also note for information that Go Safe is paid on the basis of the number of enforcement and surveying hours conducted and the payments are not linked in any way to the number of detections made.
