849. Deputy Joe Carey asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the legislative position regarding the licensing of motorcycles or motortrikes for the carrying of paying passengers; his plans to deal with the issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13909/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe regulation of the small public service vehicle sector, including the licensing of vehicles, is the responsibility of the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act 2013. I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply. He should advise my private office if he does not receive a response within 10 working days.
